I love getting to be apart of weddings, I will always be grateful that people ask me to be to photograph their big day, it’s always special but when family asks I feel even more honored. Justin’s sister Melissa was getting married! It started as a courthouse wedding, then a small elopement, then it grew a little more. They decided on a small beach ceremony in San Diego. Everyone got ready at Aunt Julie’s beautiful home in Rancho Santa Fe.
The ceremony was being held among the rocks at Marine Street Beach in La Jolla. It was perfect and surprisingly private for a public beach.
Bobby asked his best friend, Tony to officiate the wedding. He did a really good job, there is always something special about having someone who really knows you, marry you. His words were heartfelt and the couple had to hold back tears when he spoke about those we’ve lost, including their son Bradley, who is not here with us.
There was a small reception back at Aunt Julie’s house. It was overcast all day but we were able to get a couple of photos in Julie’s yard before the rain really started coming down.
Did you know they say it’s actually a sign of good luck if it rains on your wedding day?
Congrats Melissa and Bobby! I can’t believe you guys tied the knot before me and Justin.
