Yosemite National Park is my all-time favorite location for any photography session. While it’s nearl impossible to pick a favorite location in the park, from Glacier Point to Taft Point to pretty much anywhere on the valley floor you can’t go wrong with a Yosemite Engagement Photo session.
Glacier Point at sunrise? It’s just the cherry on top. Sure getting up at 1 am to drive from Hanford isn’t pretty but the view and lack of crowds make it worth it.
I was so excited when Dani approached me and suggested Yosemite for her Engagement session. We went back and forth over whether or not to do sunrise or sunset and ultimately they had to have Half Dome in their photos which meant Glacier Point at sunrise.
We met at 4:30 am! Of course, I came prepared with caffeine for all, and we got to work.
These two were such good sports. It was FREEZING when we started the session. A chilly 32 degrees or so and Dani started off the session in the black dress. We laughed and joked about me having to edit some blue lips out of the photos (I didn’t need to) but the images are so worth it! The sun took longer to rise then we anticipated which gave us plenty of time to talk and get to know each other.
Fun fact: Joe hiked half dome in high school! Super jealous as it is on my bucket list (one day!)
I can’t wait to work with these two again and I am so excited for Danielle and Joseph’s fall wedding at The Manor Estate!
