I still remember the first time I visited Yosemite. My now husband and I had recently gotten engaged, and somewhere during that trip we looked at each other and knew, this was where we wanted to get married. I’ve been a little obsessed ever since.
Before photography became my full-time career, I spent 15 years working in emergency services. That meant years of reading people quickly, staying calm when plans changed, and figuring out what someone needed even when they couldn’t quite tell me themselves. That never left me.
Now it looks like noticing when you’re starting to feel overwhelmed and changing course. Knowing when you need direction and when you need a little space. And when something doesn’t go according to plan, handling it without turning it into a bigger thing than it needs to be.

I know what it’s like to plan a Yosemite elopement because I’ve done it myself.
