The Pismo Beach sand dunes are such a beautiful, unique location so close to the Central Valley. I love that I was able to start this session off at the Dunes and end it on the beach.

I had been dreaming about shooting at the Pismo Beach Dunes for a while, to be honest even after this shoot I am still dreaming about it! So I did what any normal photographer would do. I set up an Engagement Experience Giveaway and partnered with some of my favorite vendors to offer the winning couple an amazing experience!

I am so glad that Lacey and Jesse won my giveaway! From the first moment I spoke with Lacey we hit it off, like old friends! I think we spent around 2 hours talking on the phone about the Engagement session and Wedding planning in general. These two were originally going to get married in Lake Tahoe but some plans were changed and they are having a slightly bigger event in Fresno that I can not wait to photograph.

Jesse was such a good sport! I really wanted to get them IN the water, however, he was a bit hesitant, you see it was a 2-hour drive back to the Valley and he didn’t bring a change of clothes. Lacey and I were able to talk him into it, I even promised him we could run to Target and get him something for the ride home. He agreed and honestly, the photos are magic.

Pro-tip, I always want my couples in the water if it’s an option. So bring a towel and a change of clothes if we are heading to the beach or lake.
